The Rock's 'Moana 2' Tops Domestic Box Office With $225M Over Five Day Thanksgiving Opening

The film, which featured The Rock reprising his role as Maui, opened in theaters on Wednesday, November 27. Despite a less-than-ideal 64% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the movie did huge business, raking in💧 $225.2 million dollars domestically over the extended weekend.

Furthermore, The Rock's other film, 'Red One', scored $12.7M domestically over the three day Thanksgiving weekend. Currentl🌟y, 'Red One' sits at $148 million dollar🏅s worldwide after opening on November 15.

At this pace, 'Moana 2' is on track to become The Rock's highest grossingꦇ film since 'The ꧒Fate Of The Furious', which was released in 2017. That film grossed $1.23 billion dollars worldwide.

The Rock last appeared in WWE at the Bad Blood premium live𓆉 event in October, as he came out to confront Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes after their team win over Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. It is currently unknown when 'The Final Boss' will appear in the company next.
