SAG-AFTRA Presideꦗnt Gabrielle Carteris is serious about helping pro wrestlers✱.
On November 13, Cateris tweeted in support of Zelina Vega, who was released by WWE on Friday evening. Moments before her release was made official, Vega tweeted that she supported unionization. While it is unknown the exact reason of Vega's release, she had been outspoken regardingඣ third-paꦛrty platform use as she was heavily active on Twitch and had opened an OnlyFans account to show off her various cosplay outfits.
Exp🤪anding on SAG's support, Cateris gave the following statement to Spec๊trum Sports 360's Jon Alba:
"Wrestling is as much about med💙ia as it is ꦏsports, and we are going to directly engage with members of this profession to help find ways for them to protect themselves.
As more peop🌱le reinvest in unions, and a🗹s more working people are harassed by employers who don't want to protect them, SAG-AFTRA is committed to doing what we can to help professional wrestlers secure the protection they deserve"
I inquired with president following her tweet recognizing ’s call for unionization♌. This is her statement response, which seems to be one of the first times SAG-AFTRA is publicly offering support for pro wrestlers.

Former Presꦜidential Candidate Andrew Yang has also supported the idea of wrestlers being part of SAG.
