Thekla discusses the creation of H.A.T.E.
Earlier this year, Natsuko Tora shocked the world of wrestling by dissolving the Oedo Tai faction and creating H.A.T.E. with Saya Kamitani, Momo Watanabe, Thekla, Konami, Rina, and Ruaka. In just a f꧙ew short months, fhe faction has been very successful, raking in a number of wins in the ong൩oing Goddesses Of STARDOM Tag League tournament.
While chatting with Fightful for a new interview, Thekla talked about the rebrand and said that it's very poss🌌ible that she came up with the name and the visual aspect of the gr💧oup.
"No, I think it's great. Yeah, of course. Look at it. It's so much cooler. I mean, I might be a
little biased because it's very possible that I came up with the name HATE. So maybe a little maybe I had my hands in the visual of everything, too. That's definitely a very big possibility. So, no, I think it's great. I think it's cool to change things up. I think with me, Konami and Kamitani coming in, it's just a whole different vibe and it was about time to change things up. I can be a traditionalist in some things and I respect the long history of Oedo Tai, but I personally feel a lot more in sync with what HATE stands for."
Thekla went on to say that there is a thrꦿeat to everything that the group does now.
"So I think Oedo Tai, right before they changed it up, had a bit of a school yard bully vibe to it with the purple look and the kids running wild. It was cute, you know. When I was in Donna del Mondo, I thought, okay, they have potential, but they don't intimidate me at all. It's just not enough and I think now with how everything looks and how everything sounds, talking music and how everything is--Natsuko just getting a buzz cut, all that stuff. It's just cool, man. There's a threat to everything we do here. So no. No, I don't mind at all. I think it's fantastic. Best decision ever."
