A 𒈔controversial finish to the December 17 episode of WWE NXT.
The NXT Championship match between Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe ended in controversy with a double pin.The original official was taken out of commission, leading ♔to another referee coming down. Trick Williams hit his Trick Shot knee and fell on top of Thorpe.
It turned out that both men's shoulders were down and at this point, the other referee had regained consciousness so both referees counted down the shoulders of a different competitor, leading to a no-con🌸test result and the show ending with WWE NXT GM Ava coming down to listen to the referees argue about which man now had the right to call himself the WWE NXT Champion.
