Kris Statlander comments on the state of the AEW womš²en's š·division.
The AEW women's division has continued to grow at a rapid rate in recent years, with the signing of Mercedes Mone standing out as an important moment for the companies women's roster. Kris Statlander knows all about Mone, as she will be challenging her for the AEW TBS Chamšpionship at AEW Full Gear later thisź§ month.
While speaking to in a recent interview, Kris Statlander spoke on the stateā of the AEW women's division.
āObviously, it's amazing. Weāre getting multiple matches a show. I think itās because we are, so many women are just continuing to step up their game on a consistent basis and try so hard and we have so much to prove all of the time, but we are proving it. We are showing that we are one of the most exciting parts of every show that we are a part of. Itās very humbling and honoring to be a part of it and to constantly be, no, this is what you want to watch. Thereās so much going on and Iām thankful to be a part of it in any amount. Thereās so many people that I have never worked with and that I havenāt wrestled that I want to wrestle. I feel like that just keeps me wanting to keep working on myself and improving and stepping up my game all the day so people donāt just see me and think Iām a one trick pony. Iām gonna keep changing everything I do and keep improving myself. I want to put on great matches with everyone that I can. Thereās so many girls that I havenāt wrestled and I have to beat up every single one of them as soon as possible, I donāt know what weāre waiting for.ā
While Statlander will be challenging for the championship at Fulšl Gear, she is a previous TBS title holder.
Elsewhere in the same interview, Statlander reflected on her split thumbtacks spot. You can read more about that here.
