At AEW All Out, Statlander faced off with rival Willow Nightingale in a Chicago Street Fight. The match was filled with 🌞a ton of insane spots, including one moment where Statlander misꦇsed a scissor kick on Nightingale and landed into a pile of thumbtacks while doing a split.
The spot has lived on as one of more gruesome momไents from the year, with many fans praising Statlander for goin🃏g to great lengths to entertain the fans.
While chatting with DS Shin of Ring The Belle for a new interview, Statlander joked that she 🦹was happy to create the mom🎉ent by sacrificing her loin.
“I didn’t feel good about it. It wasn’t what I wanted to happen. It also wasn’t the best plan to be like, ‘Let me go for a scissor kick’, because I was gonna have to land on it in some degree anyway. I wasn’t planning on her moving out of the way. That wasn’t my goal but on the bright side, it got one of the craziest reactions I’ve ever heard and I am happy I was able to create that moment by sacrificing my loin.”
