Eric Bischoff Was Reluctant To Give TNA Spoiler During MLW One Shot

ΰ΅²Eric Bischoff was reluctant to pull out some of his old tricks at MLW One Shot.

🌱Eric Bischoff appeared at MLW One Shot 2024. Much of the event was a tribute to the many things attributed to Eric in pro wrestling, both on and off-screen. During the show, Eric revealed on commentary that Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy would win their match on TNA iMPACT!, which was occurring at the same time as the MLW event. This is, of course, reminiscent of when Eric would give away finishes to matches on WWE Monday Night Raw while on commentary during WCW Nitro.

ཧThis time, however, EZ-E revealed he was a little reluctant to pull out this dirty trick. Bischoff said during the most recent episode of his that he didn't want to necessarily give away the finish and appear as though he was trying to hurt TNA. However, he then remembered how it backfired on him the last time and thought that maybe he would end up helping the brand he used to work for.

"I got to tell you, Conrad, I was a little reluctant to do it. There were a couple things that they wanted me to do, and some of them I didn't do. But that was one where I went, 'Oh, man, do I really want to do that?' I mean, I got nothing against [TNA]. Then I thought, 'Well, wait a minute, last time I did this, a whole bunch of people switched channels and went over to watch them. So maybe I'm doing them a favor.' So I talked myself into it and hopefully, it didn't hurt anything. I doubt that it did," he said.

Eric Bischoff says he will be back in MLW and while he didn't specify when, he gave a pretty good idea. Learn more here.

Eric Bischoff also recently clarified that he's not under contract with WWE despite appearing on WWE NXT in the same week as his appearance on MLW One Shot. Read more here.
