In April, Booker T was originally brought in to temporary replace David Otunga, who is filming a movie. He has said he was called by Michael Cole when WWE asked him to fill in the spot and it was his duty to help on commentary. Otunga was originally supposed to be off commentary a little more than four weeks, but now that seems to have been extended by a couple more months. Booker T has 𓆏been appearing on Raw and some of the panels durin൲g pay-per-view pre-shows.
On a recent episode of his , Booker T said he was excited to be back commentating and he was having fun doing it. Also during the podcast, Booker T and his co-host previewed WWE Backlash and recent news in mixed-martial-arts. Current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jinder Mahal was interviewed and asked about his match against Randy Orton. Booker T said he expected Mahal to be victorious at WWE Backlash and since the episode was recorded Mahal became champion.
