AEW Files Trademark On 'Battle Of The Belts'

AEW trademarks the name of an event name fr🐼oꦬm the Florida territory from the mid-1980s.

On January 18, AEW filed for the trademark on "Battle of the Belts" for use in 🧔merchandising, including toys, games, and clothing.

As of yet, it is not known what this trademark will be used for regularly. “Battle of the Belts” was used as an event name in the mid-1980s by the National Wrestling Alliance, specifically the Florida territory which was operated by Eddie Graham. The events were shown live in syndication, and all three featured Ric Flair defendi𓄧ng the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.

On the first event, he faced Wahoo McDaniel, the second 🔯event saw him face Barry Windham, and the third would see him face Lex Luger.
