Floyd Mayweather has been teasing a jump f𒁏rom boxing to MMA for quite some time now and now another st♑ep is about to be takꦛen to make the tease into a reality.
The retired boxer said to that he i🥀s going to be applying for an MMA license soon.
“Not yet but everything takes time,” Mayweather said. “Eventually we’re gonna apply for the license and hopefully we can fight."
Mayweather would arguably ✨become the highest profile boxer to ever make the jump from that sport into mixed martial arts.
One thing Mayweather wants to ensure goes right is the training for a potential MMA debut, even if that training takes longer than expected. Mayweather is going to be getting a lot of good training for that potential run in MMA, as UFC W🍸elterweight Champion Tyron Woodley says the boxing great has already spoken w💯ith him about a training camp.
“I’ll probably need a little bit longer [than three months to train]. A Little bit longer, even if it takes six to eight months. Whatever it takes. We want to make sure that everything is done correctly and everything is done the right way,” says Mayweather.
UFCꦿ Lightweight Champion Con♔or McGregor did suffer a tenth round TKO loss to Mayweather this past August, so the Irishman would make a suiꦐtable opponent if the boxing great does come over to the UFC.
