Floyd Mayweather Says He Isn’t Coming To UFC, Conor McGregor Responds

Earlier today, UFC Pres൩idಌent Dana White had said that the promotion is working on a fight deal with boxing great Floyd Mayweather.

However, just as quickly as it became a story, it all comes to an end because Mayweather is now sꦕtating that he won’t be competing in the UFC.

“We just don’t know what the future holds for Floyd Mayweather,” Mayweather said to . “And I don’t look forward to getting back in a boxing ring, that’s what I don’t look forward to. I’m just saying I could — I’m not doing it — but I’m saying what I could do to make a billion dollars quick, if I wanted to do that. That’s what I was saying. I never said I was gonna fight in the UFC. I didn’t say that. I said if I wanted to and what I could. Could and would do is different things. I’m not gonna do it, though.”

If Mayweather had somehow wound up in the UFC, it would complete a huge cross over from the world of boxing to MMA and vice versa. Earlier this year, UFC Lightweight Champio𝓰n Conor McGregor made his professional boxing debut and was finished via tenth r🍰ound TKO by Mayweather.

Once McGregor got wind that the boxing great wasn’t coming to the promotion, a one word statement was issued by him thrღough Instagr🎃am:

That ends a tumultuous day for the UFC, which began with the UFC President saying the🍷y were negotiating with Mayweather and it ends with the boxing great saying t🌞here isn’t going to be an Octagon appearance.
