Just hours before the January 11 episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE has announced that its champion, Drew McIntyre, has tested positive for COVID-19. In a brief statement released on their website, WWE stated that Drew McIntyre 🎃has been placed into quarantine after testing positive.

This is the first time WWE has made a formal announcement of a positive COVID-19 test. Early on in the pandemic, there were some on-air personalities, namely Kayla Braxton and Renee Young, who confirmed their own COVID dia𓃲gnosis via their personal social media accounts.
Drew McIntyre was scheduled to face Randy Orton on the January 11 episode of Raw and further the storyline that began last week between he and Bill Goldberg that appeared to be leading to a championship match at the 2021 WWE Roy🍷al Rumble event.
