Maven talks Tough Enough.
Tough Enough will always be synonymous with Maven, as the star ಌwas the male winner of the show's first season all the way back in 2001. The first season of the show isꦦ also known by many fans for being rather chaotic, as a number of contestants quit the show during the season.
While speaking to Conrad Thompson , Maven first t🃏alked about 💝the show's editing style and how they would only re-shoot the little things.
“When they would edit it, when they would tell us to do stuff over and over again, it was usually like when we would get out of the two explorers and go into a restaurant or something, they didn’t get the shot that they wanted. Small stuff like that, the insignificant stuff is what they would reshoot and edit. The in-ring stuff, the training aspect of it, they told a good story and they told a true story."
Maven then recalled the show struggling with the ⛦amount of people that were quit🦋ting on the spot.
"I think they got scared because we started with thirteen competitors — the original plan was every week, they were gonna send someone home and fold their chair up and put it against the wall. To start with thirteen competitors, I believe it was within two weeks, five people quit. When that happened, I think they had to reshuffle like, ‘Woah, we’re skirting the line of not having a show. If everyone quits, we just wasted a lot of money and time.' At that point, they kind of backed down with the difficulty of the training and got to the point where they could start eliminating people.”
