The winner oꦫf the 2024 Leyenda Azul Tournamen𒁃t Has Been Found.
On Friday, November 29, 2024, CMLL hosted a s♎pecial edition of their weekly show "Viernes Espectacular" from the mythical and historic Arena Mexico, headlined by the fina🎃ls of the 2024 Leyenda Azul Tournament, a tournament done to pay homage to the legendary wrestler Blue Demon.
The finals pitted 🧜two of CMLL's top stars as Hechicero faced Místico. After a spectacular contest between the Alchemis🔯t of The Ring and the White-Eyed Seminarist, the final parts of the match consisted of Místico ending up picking up the victory by catching Hechicero with La Mística. While Hechicero was near the ropes multiple times, Místico caught Hechicero's free arm and locked in a Scissor Double Arm-Bar to make Hechicero finally tap out and pick up the win.
With this win, Místico joins Atlantis and Angel de Oro as the only people to have won the Leyenda Azul tourney and the Leyenda de Plata Tourn꧅ament (a tourney held to pay homage to El Santo) and marks his first successful excursion since moving from the CMLL Middleweight class into the Light Heavyweight division. Neither man will be done here, as Místico will team with AEW Tag Team Champions Private Party against The MxM Col𓄧lection & Johnny TV on the 11/30 edition of AEW Collision while Hechicero will face Komander on the 11/30 edition of AEW Rampage.
