Update Regarding Cody Rhodes’ Attempt To Trademark ‘The American Dream’

In March of 2019, Cody Rhodes filed to trademark “The American Dream.” This was all a part of Cody Rhodes attempting to secure some of the trademarks that his father, Dusty Rhodes, helped make famous. Cody also filed for trademarks on WCW Pay-Per-View names like Slamboree and SuperBrawl

For the third time, Cody's attempt at trade marketing “The American Dream” was refused. The denial from the USPTO notes that the request for reconsideration does not raise a new issue, resolve an outstanding issue, or ꦅprovide 🦂any new evidence with regard to and standing issue.

Applicant’s request for reconsideration is denied. See 37 C.F.R. §2.63(b)(3). The 🔴trademark examining attorney has carefully reviewed applicant’s request and determined the request did not: (1) raise a new issue, (2) resolve all the outstanding issue(s), (3) provide any new or compelling evidence with regard to the outstanding issue(s), or (4) present analysis and arguments that were persuasive or shed new light on the outstanding issue(s).
