Triple H Talks Possibility Of Chyna In Hall Of Fame, Reaction To Brock/Goldberg And If Trump Might Appear At Mania

As Fightful reported this𓄧 morning, Triple H was in London e▨arlier today, holding a press conference to announce the formation of the WWE U.K. Championship and a tournament to decide it.  After the presser, Hunter took some questions from on a variety of subjects.

The Attitude Era'🤡s "Ninth Wonder of the World," Chyna, passed away earlier this year, and Triple H was asked about t🍃he possibility of her being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017.

"I think it's been brought up," he said. "But there's a lot of people in a long line that deserve to be in the Hall of Fame that will be in the Hall of Fame over time. That's a conversation that will happen. We'll see where it goes. But there are a lot of people and you can only put so many people in per year."

There were six inductees in 2016, seven in 2015, and six in 2014, counting groups and tag teams as one i⭕nductee per꧙ team.

Triple H says that he believes Chyna꧟, if she were to get in, would do so on her own merits, not just as a nice gesture to the deceased and her family.

"I don't think her passing signifies any change of her accomplishments. Her accomplishments are documented and were massive in our industry. Nothing has changed. She's a part of the Hall of Fame conversation, but she would have been anyway."

Of course, the biggest story of recent months, the squashing of Brock Lesnar by Goldberg in 86 seconds ꧒at Survivor Series, was brought up and Triple H had an interesting theory over why it sparked so much outrage:

"People never saw it coming. When you shock them, they're angry that you shocked them. When you don't shock them, they say it's too predictable."

When asked if it was the right call to have Lesnar, billed as "The Conqueror" and "The Beast, the man who ended the Undertaker's undefeated streak at Wrestlemania, lose to a man nearing 50 in his his first match in over a decade, Triple H said, "I guess we’ll see. Would you watch him again…? I don’t think we’ve caused any damage. I’ve seen Brock Lesnar get beat in the UFC, too. It didn’t hurt his value when he [returned] to WWE. You make the best creative decisions [based on] where you want to get to."

Finally, Newsweek asked him if WWE Hall of Famer and US President-Elect Donald Trump might make an appearance at Wrestlemania 33 in Orlando. Trump would alreadꦛy be sworn in as President by then, and Triple H seems to think he might have more pressing business.

"I have a feeling his schedule might be packed… but who knows? Never say never in the WWE."

Tripܫle H also spoke about whether he feels Linda McMahon is qualified to be in Trump's cabinet, his thoughts on Sasha Banks and Charlotte headlining Hell In A Cell, the new U.K. Championship, and more. You can read the full interview
