Triple H says The Undeš“rtaker wasn't necessarily on board right away with appearing at WrestleMania XLš¦.
š¼The Undertaker retired after facing AJ Styles in a Boneyard Match at WWE WrestleMania 36. Since then, after 30 years of a WWE career, Undertaker has remained firm in his retirement. He did get physical at WrestleMania XL, however. He Chokeslammed The Rock and proved to be the deš¬ciding factor in helping Cody Rhodes win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship from Roman Reigns that Sunday night.
Triple H revealšed that it wasn't easy getting Undertaker to agree to his appearance, saying it even took a phone call from The Rock toą¹ help convince him.
"It took us forever to get him to do that thing. A lot of that stuff comes together in the tail end. When I first called him for it, heās like, āI donāt know. I donāt think I want to do it.ā Iām like, ā80,000 people are going to go absolutely insane.ā It took us a little bit. Rock had to call him. Everybody had to call him to get him to finally acquiesce to do it. When he retired, he sort of wanted, āIām just done.ā He didnāt come out with the hat and jacket. The hat and jacket are retired. āIāll come out as me, but Iām not coming out as Undertaker.ā He just wanted it to be over."
