Tony Khan addresses the release of CM Punk.
On Saturday evening, AEW released a statement saying that the company had terminated its agreem🌳ent with CM Punkಌ.
To open AEW Collision, AEW President Tony Khan addressed the viewing audience, s🤪aying Punk endangered innocent people backstage and that for the first time in AEW, he felt that🐭 his security, his safety, and his life were in danger at a wrestling show. He said that he and the people at work should not feel that way and that he had to make a decision to release Punk.

Before the show started, Khan addressed the live audience in Chicago, where he said he had to make a difficult decision in regards to releasing Punk. He mad⛎e similar comments to his opening statement on AEW Collision, which is that he felt he and others were in danger.
The🤪 Chicago crowd booed him, and 🌠Khan said the reaction was a little nicer than he was expecting.
