It was a night of historic firsts for two women who co♕mpeted at WWE's ꧃live event in Abu Dhabi this afternoon.
Word spread around on social media that Sasha Banks and Alexa Blisss came out sporting new outfi☂ts that 🃏covered their entire bodies:
There is a reason for all of this -- Abu Dhabi has strict clothing restrictions for women in the country, so WWE complied with their 🌃standards by having the women completely covered, a departure from how they normally dress in the United States and most other countries.
In fact, this is the first time in Abu Dhabi that women in WWE were allowed to compete (women from Impact have comp𝔍eted in the past), and also the first time a variation of the Women's championship was defended in Abu Dhabi. Banks came up short in the match, but was still moved by the audience's reactions and making history all at the same time:
Saudi Arabia is another place where the women are faced with strict guidelines; in fact, so strict that they're not allowed to compete there. WWE does not bring th🍒em on that tour when they travel there.
