Former Divas Champion Paige has been suspended for 30 days by WWE for violat🐓ing WWE's ꦓWellness Policy.
This information comes hours after it was announced thatꦚ former World Champion Alberto Del Rio, Paige's boyfriend, was also suspended
The news also comes hot off of the heels of unconfirmed rumors that Triple H is upset with Del Rღio for being a 'ﷺbad influence' on Paige. WWE wrote the following announcement on their website:
WWE has suspended Saraya-Jade Bevis (Paige) for 30 days effective tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 18, for her first violation of the🎶 company’s talent wellness policy.
It has been a tumultuous couple of months for WWE when it comes to failed drug tests. Brock Lesnar failed two drug tests before his UFC 200 fight against Mark Hunt. That case is still being reviewed, but WWE has not disciplined Lesnar. Roman Reigns was suspended for 30 days for his first WWE Wellness Policy violation after Mo🧜ney in the Bank earlier this year. Other failed drug tests from earlier this year include former superstar Adam Rose and current wrestler Konnor were both suspended for 60 days for their second Wellness Policy violations.
Paige was the first NXT women's champion in 2013 and won her first WWE Divas Championship in her debut on Monday Night RAW, defeating then-champ AJ Lee in an impromptu match the night after WrestleMania 30 in 2014. Paige was drafted to RAW𝓀, but has not wrestled in the past few weeks as she has been nursing injuries.
Neither Paige or Alberto Del Rio were scheduled for Sun🐬day's Summerlsam.
