New Tour Dates Announced For Chris Jericho's Band Fozzy, What Does This Mean For Y2J's WWE Run?

Chris Jericho's band Fozzy will be hitting the road and touring the summer festival circuit following Wrestlemania 33. They will start with Welcome to Rockville in Jacksonville, FL during𒁏 the weekend of April 29-30. They have also been announced for Carolina Rebellion on May 5-7 and Rocklahoma on May 27-29.

Fozzy signed a new record deal with Century Media back in October and will be recording a new album. Jericho's next book, No Is a Four-letter Word: How I Failed Spelling but Succeeded in Life, is scheduled to release in August of 2♉017. No word on a planned promo🐠tional book tour, but it is a possibility.

The Rizzler Meets Orange Cassidy

Jericho's latest WWE contract started with the build to the 2016 Royal Rumble this past January, and included feuds with AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose and a (now-defunct?) partnership with Kevin Owens. Jericho has been getting near-unanimous non-stop praise for a career-rejuvenating run. But recently he admitted to  podcast that this acclaimed run was originally 🌳only supposed to last about four mon𓂃ths.

"I have a very close working relationship with Vince McMahon and neither one of us expected this," Jericho said. "Both of us would like to sit back and think we were the be all, end all wise oracles that predicted this. I will tell you this, my original plan when I came back last January was to stay until WrestleMania, four months. Then, it started going so good, I re-signed I think until July and then I re-signed until October and then I re-signed until November. Now it's basically a month by month thing."

Jericho has a match against Seth Rollins scheduled for WWE Roadblock: End of the Line on December 18, and is currently embroiled in a storyline where he and🔯 Kevin Owens, once best friends, are breaking up. There is speculation that this is building to a blow-off match between the two, possibly at Wrestlemania 33. If so, it looks like that might be the end of Jericho in WWE, at least for now.
