Matt Riddle cšomments on Golą¹dberg's upcoming retirement match.
On November 2nd, Goldberg announced that he would have his ļ·½retirement match in 2025. This came after he appeared at Wź¦WE Bad Blood and hopped the barricade when Gunther toāok some shots at him.
Speaking with Branš«don Walker on , Matt Riddle was asked whetheź§r he'd want to be part of Goldberg's retirement match.
āWell, maybe. I donāt think he wants to step up to the plate, if weāre keeping it real. Me and Bill, weāve talked. We were on a flight from Saudi, we were on a Saudi show, one of the Crown Jewels, and we were flying back, and we had some cocktails, and we had some discussion. I donāt think thereās any bad blood. I think he has more of an understanding of where I was coming from. I definitely have an understanding of where heās coming from and why he finds what I say disrespectful and things like that. I completely understand. I donāt mean it that way. Weāre professional wrestlers. Iām just spitting facts, and j can back it up. This is just what it is. I think a lot of people, other people in WWE, took that as disrespect. But itās like, if you fought in the UFC, and then youāre now in the WWE, what, am I supposed to just forget my whole career? Nah, dude. I can stretch like 98% ofā¦because Brock [Lesnar] is pretty big, and Bobby Lashleyās pretty big. Neither are shabby at mixed martial arts either. But I would say pretty handy, I sure do [know how to take care of myself,]" Riddle said.
WWE released Riddle in September 2023. He currenātly competes for MLW, AAA, and other promotions on the independent scene.
Riddle previously said that he would love to work with Goldberg. Check out his comments here.
