Riddle and Goldberg have patched things up.
Riddle has taken plenty of shots at Goldberg on social media and interviews throughout the years and things came to a head during a backstage confrontation at SummerSlam 2019. Since then, Riddle has kept up the jokes, but Riddle did have a positive interaction with Goldberg at Raw in January.
The mutual respect started to forą“m and now they areź¦ sharing drinks on a plane.
"Everybody here knows I can throw down and Iām going to talk s***. Itās one of those things where I canāt change that. I talk trash. For me, isnāt that my job? Make people care about what weāre doing and talk trash so people say āoh man, Iād watch that fight!ā or is it real? Thatās my job, thatās what I do. And it rubs some people the wrong way. But at the end of the day, even Bill [Goldberg] and maybe one day a certain Beast, they come to understand what Iām trying to do. Bill and I had a conversation. It was like āBill, Iām sorry if I rubbed you the wrong wayā on the way back from Saudi Arabia. We were on the plane, had a couple of cocktails. Iām not saying weāre best friends, but we are doing way better than we were. I think just us talking and seeing him work [longer matches this year], you just get to know somebody and understand them. Heās like me; if you just listen to the dirt sheets or watch me do interviews, you might hate me [laughs]. But in real life, Iām a pretty nice guy. I talk crap, but thatās just to drum up interest. Riddle and Goldberg were both successful in Saudi Arabia at WWE Crown Jewel with Riddle & Randy Orton retaining the WWE Raw Tag Team Titles against AJ Styles & Omos while Goldberź§g defeated Bobby Lašshley.
