🍷Lex Luger harbored no ill will toward Kevin Nash when he got the big push in WWE in 1994.
🧸Lex Luger was briefly the top babyface in WWE in 1993. However, Luger never captured the WWE Title during his run, despite challenging for the title at WWE SummerSlam and WWE WrestleMania X. By the time WWE was ready for a new babyface champion that wasn't Bret Hart, they picked Kevin Nash's Diesel.
ౠSpeaking on the latest Lex Expressed podcast, Luger spoke about, feeling no ill will or jealousy towards Kevin and instead being happy for his friend.
"Zero. I was so happy for Kevin. I thought he'd be a great World Champion. So thrilled for him, for the opportunity. I never lost confidence in my career [about] where I was going to be or go. I always looked at myself as a main event guy. I pretty much had that for my 15-year in-ring career. So, zero 'I wish that had been me or that should have been me' in that regard at all. Yeah, I was so happy for Kevin at the time,"
Lex Luger previously admitted that Vince McMahon never actually promised him a run with the WWE Title. Learn more here.
As for Nash, he says his favorite match career was the night title a year later to Bret Hart. Learn more about that here.
