As you can see above, there was some controversy surrounding Alberto El Patron's victory over Bobby Lashley in their World Title M🦹atch on last week's episode of IMPACT Wrestling, the first of the so-called "New ౠEra."
There was an accidental ref bump, and a second ref was sent down to the ring. El Patron accidentally kicked the second referee in the head, and eventually drilled Lashley in the head with the Title Belt. The second re💜f comes to, counts the pinfall, but apparently the first ref was able to see the illegal weapon use while in his groggy state.
The controversy continued to the backstage area after the broa🔯dcast was over, as♊ you can see below:
Which brings us to this latest video, released yesterday, of a closed-door meeting between company officials Bruce Prichard and Dutch Mantell and El Patron, in which he was convinced to relinquish the title. Reluctant at first, you can see that El Patron eventually agrees--one one condition. That he gets a rematch for the title. Prichard and Mantell say they can't force Lashley to agree to the mat🦩ch, and that El Patron will have to ask Lashley for the match. El Patron says he'll "demand" the rematch.
We'll have to see how the next chapter plays out on the next episode of IMPACT Wrestling on Thursd🏅ay night.
