Goldberg: I Never Should Have Headbutted The Door Before Undertaker Match

Goldberg concussed himself before his match against The Undertaker at WWE's Super ShowDown pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia in 🃏2019.

When appearing on the 12/28 episode of SmackDown commentator Pat McAfee's '', the WWE Hall of Famer told McAfee that he indeed concussed himself when head-butting the locker room door during ღhis entrance for the match.

"I had been out for a while and you have a routine, everyone has a routine," said Goldberg. "I had kind of forgotten my routine, but I remembered the headbutt. On the way out, I headbutt the door, and I don't know where I am after that, I have no idea what's going on. I get in the ring and we have the spot where he moves and I hit the turnbuckle. I didn't go out and look at the turnbuckle beforehand. It was a different set up than what we would normally have at Raw or SmackDown. I try to take things as realistic as possible. I took it wrong and let's just say I got another concussion right there and opened myself up pretty good. It's the referee's responsibility to call what is going on and they are on the headset. The referee, he came up to me 10 or 15 times, 'Hey, how are you doing?' 'I'm doing good.' By the time he would walk away, I'd go, 'I don't know what's going on.' It was a different answer every time. The fact is, I never should have done what I did, but I did. I tried to go through with it but unfortunately, it turned out to be a debacle and it's a wonder we both didn't get smashed during that match. It was a very bad missed opportunity, but at the end of the day, I was just trying to provide a better show."

Goldberg last appeared on WWE programming when he defeated Bobby La📖shley at the company's lജatest Saudi Arabia-based pay-per-view, Crown Jewel, this past October.
