Finn Balor ♐had a caree🐬r-making moment at Summerslam, but he knew it wouldn't last.
The 190-pound Balor achieved what many his size havent, in becoming a top champ🍒ion in WWE by winning the first ever WWE Universal Championship. However, in a heartfelt series of posts on Twitter, Balor said he knew what was coming🍸 the following day.
“When the bell rang, I had won, I was the Champion, but I was reluctant to ce𒁃lebrate as I already knew in my heart what awaited at Raw," Balor said of his injury. "The moment I got injured I knew it was serious, it was an instinctive reaction to pull on my wrist, I entered survival mode."
Balor spoke about the emotions that 💧he went through, realizing that he wasn't going to get a proper reign as Universal Champion.
"Disappointed, yes, but I was champion and I was not missi♋ng an opportunity to fulfill my duty and appear on (Good Morning America). After hours of scans & despite some hope, the worst was confirmed at 5pm Monday. I would need surgery ASAP & relinquish the title on Raw Despite every emotion I had felt the previouꦰs 24 hours...I was still the CHAMPION. That gave me strength, Now I was not," Balor said.
As Balor went into surgery it was revealed that his injury was much worse than origi﷽nally suspected.
"Tuesday at 3am I traveled to Birmingham Alabama.Dr. Dugas prepped me for surgery as a photo of Seth Rollins watched over us. What was supposed to be a one hour surgery turned into 4 hours as once I was opened up the doctor found a lot more toꦍ the injury than the scans showed," Balor explained.
Balor noted that he had a labrum tear, a torn bicep and pectoral tendon, cartilage damage, and a fracture to tജhe glenoid neck socket, which he's keeping on a jar in his dresse🌼r.
Get well soon Finn.
But gross.
