Mina Shirakawa commen♒ts on what wrestling for New ജJapan Pro-Wrestling means to her.
NJPW's women's division continues to grow in prominence with each passing event. This means new opportunities for both foreign ꧅and international wrestlers to make their mark in one of 🐠the most storied promotions in wrestling.
Mina Shirakawa ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚhas wrestled five matches under the NJPW banner, including a match for the IWGP Women's Championship against Mayu Iwatani in February 2024. During a recent interview with Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, Shirakawa explained what it means for her to be able to compete for NJPW. She also specifically singled out Mercedes Mone as the face of NJPW STRONG. Shirakawa says it is her mission to surpass Mercedes and stand out more in NJPW than "The CEO."
"I was a big fan of New Japan Pro-Wrestling. I love Jushin Thunder Liger and Tanahashi. This past February, I challenged for the IWGP Women’s Title. Before the match, I was impressed to wrestle for NJPW. It was my first time. It is very important for me. Now, Mercedes is the face of the New Japan STRONG Women’s Division. She is great. We protect the New Japan ring. I have to stand out more and more in New Japan STRONG, more than (Mercedes) Mone. That is my mission."
Mina Shirakawa will be in action on NJPW Strong Style Evolved on December 15. She will take on Johnnie Robbie. Mercedes Mone will headline the event🐟 as she defends the NJPW STRONG Women's Title against Hazuki. The event can be watched on and .
