Aonghus McAnally previews Lyra Valkyria vs Debbie Keꦐꦉitel this weekend.
Lyra Valkyria and Debbie Keitel's rise in pro wrestling was intertwined as the friends paired up to become 'The Woke Queens' in OTT in Ireland prior to both of their opportunities withღ WWE. Now, for the first time since leaving for WWE, Valkyria will return to the promotion to take on Keitel in singles action, a first time ever matchup.
While ,💞 Aonghus McAnally spoke about the upcoming bout, stating he knows neither woman will leave any🌠thing behind in the ring.
"Well, that's the thing. It's the first time ever that the world is seeing that. So that's hugely exciting. You know, it's rare enough in this business, as I said, particularly in a scene that's as small as the Irish scene is, the idea that you've got a brand new, never seen before matchup is really exciting. But I have to say I'm as excited about this homecoming as I was about the boys (Balor and McDonagh) coming back. I think it's almost because it's like the second man to set foot on the moon. You kind of go, oh, yeah, well, we've kind of done that. You go, no, no, we're still stepping on the moon, okay? With this, you're like, just it is so ludicrous to me, knowing what I know about internal politics and the world of pro wrestling globally, the idea that we had reigning defending WWE active roster champions fighting with us in the stadium and that we're now going to get an active star from Raw, fighting in The Complex in Dublin. That still blows my mind. We can't gloss over how significant that is. What a confidence that is in Joe and OTT and in the fighters themselves um and i don't just mean the stars coming back. I mean, in the indigenous irish talent that a multi-billion dollar corporation is willing to let their superstars, their investment, their, you know their their product uh into the ring with these guys, because, you know, all it takes is to roll an anchor or something. And, you know, you're talking about missing tv and all kinds of stuff. So the faith, that WWE have shown in Irish wrestling and OTT, I think sis testament to just how great the scene is. I am hyped for that match. I can't wait to see what happens, because I know that neither of those women are going to leave anything behind."
Valkyria and Keitel will fa♕ce off at The Complex in Dublin, Ireland on December 21st.
