CHRIS JERICHO WROTE THE LYRICS TO "JUDAS"
FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF KEVIN OWENS

(PROBABLY)

(maybe)

(definitely)

So Chris Jericho's band Fozzy just released the music video for the𒁏 first single off their new album, ahead of their big tour which starts this week🎶end.

The name of the song is "Judas,♛" and you can watch it a🙈bove.

It's pretty rockin'.

I mean, if you're into that kind🎶 of music, and not everybody is, it's a prett🍃y decent little toe tapper.

It's got a good hook and a sing-♋along-able chorus.

In the video, you get to see a lot of Jericho dad-headbanging, and he also does thꦐis, which I love way too much for some reason.

The whole video seems to be shot in one unbroken take, just that one stationar🔯y shot, in a fish-eye lens.

Apart from Jeri🌱cho doing stuff, and the band rockin' out in the background, there are guest appearances from:

  • Drunken Clowns
  • PG strippers from a super-goth leather bar

  • A dude in a hoodie who's way too casual about being on fire

  • A bunny mascot trying (and failing) to give a helium balloon to a wolf mascot

It should be noted that while the wolf mascot is wearing red overalls, the bunny is naked.
I think that might be thematically important.

You know. Music video stuff.

And uh, what else?

Oh yeah.

DID I MENTION THAT CHR🅰IS JERICHO HAS OBVIOUSLY WRITTEN THESE LYRICS FROM THE POINT OF VIEW🌄 OF KEVIN OWENS?

BECAUSE HE TOTALLY DID.

Don't believe me?

Here, watch the music video again:

Imagine Kevin Owens speaking these words:

I am cold like December snow.

I have carved out this soul made of stone.

And I will drag you down and sell you out.

Embraced by the darkness, I'm losing the light!

Encircled by demons, I fight!

What have I become?!

Now that I've betrayed

Everyone I've ever loved and pushed them🌼 all away!

And I have been a slave to the Judas in my mind!

Is ther꧙e something left for me to save in the wreckage of my life, my life?

I'm becoming Judas in my mind...

Kevin Owens is cold (like December snow).

He has a soul made of stone. Which wꦐould have been presumably carved out of something.

He betrays 📖everyone he's ever loved (at least, in the world o🔜f wrestling).

THIS IS HIM.

And the best part is, if you read even FURTHER into these lyrics, ജit becomes Jer🔥icho trying to understand Kevin's motives.

This is✤n't really who Kevin is. It's a cry for help. He h♈ates himself for what he's done to his friends.

(What have I become?! ...  I've become a slave to the Judas in my mind)

Somewhere in his past, Kevin was betrayed by 🌠someone very close to him, and now he can't fully trust anyone. If he doesn't betray them first, they're going🍒 to betray him.

It why he can never allow himself to feel love.

SORRY, YOU MIGHT WANT TO BRING ALONG A SCUBA TANK BECAUSE THIS SHIT IS GETTING DEEP.

The lyrics continue ...

Oh, this guilt is a heavy cross.
There is blood on the path I walk.
And each step I take is haunting me ...

Jericho knows th💝at the guilt of his betrayals is weighing down on Kevin, and he doesn💮't want to keep doing this but he's too far down that blood-soaked path and he can't turn back now.

YEAH BUDDY WH🅠O'S GOT ꧙TWO THUMBS AND ACED HIS TEXT ANALYSIS CLASS SOPHOMORE YEAR

*points at s♒elf with both aforementioned thumbs* THIS GUY

Now here's where it gets really good.

The song starts with the first verse (as songs often do) and her𒐪e it is:

You are beautiful on the inside.
You are innocence personified.
And I will drag you down and sell you out.

Run away!

Now if this is still Kevin Owens talking, who's he talking to throughout this who⛦le song?

Who is beautiful on the inside?
Who is innocence personified?

Certainly not Jeri🦩cho. I 𒆙mean, he might have the inner beauty part, but innocence personified? I don't think so.

Hell, just the super-goth strippers in this video alone would d𝓡isqualify him on that count.

So who is it?

JUST LOOK AT THAT FACE
AS PURE AS THE DRIVEN SNOW

And there you have it.

Chris Jericho has written a song from the point of view of Kevin Owens talking t🦩o Sami Zayn.

And hey. Even if you can't appreciate the song for its🦄 super-deep ꩵlyrics with the hidden meaning, you can appreciate the music video for the super-goth strippers and the dude who's casually on fire.
