Booker Tās sudden removal from the Monday Night RAW commentary team may not have been a smooth decision for WWE tāo make and it may have more to doź¦ with a dislike towards Corey Graves.
On Booker Tās Heated Conversations show, the former WCW world heavyweight champiš”on said there has been tensions between him and Graves and even said he would beat up the former NXT Tag Team champion.
āCorey Graves has been throwing jabs at me, Iāve been doing the same. Corey Graves is a college-educated young man. His vernacular is a little different than mine. Let me tell you, if I got Corey Graves into a fisticuffs, I would beat him down. I would be whooping his ass all day long,ā Booker T said.
Despite Booker Tās comments, he insists that heās not a bad person, but Graves is slowly getting on his bad side and said heās the reason Booker T is no longer on commentary. Booker T was replaced by former RAW announcer and former ESPN anchor Jonathan Coachman.
āIām a good guy until you get on my bad side. I wouldnāt necessarily say Coreyās on my bad side, but heās the reason Iām not on Monday Night RAW anymore. A lot of people in the company thought I was going to jump on him, do something bad to him, drag him, take him out to the woodshed. [They thought] I was going to beat that man so senseless, thatās how hot I was getting, thatās how close I got. They said, āBook, weāre going to take you off RAW, take a step back and regroup and cool you down because we donāt want you to do anything to Corey Graves and we know what you can do to Corey Graves. Heās sitting there for a reason. If I catch Corey Graves on the street, Iām going to do something to him. Iām not going to do it in the offices or anything like that,ā Booker T said.
Since returning to WWE in š¼2011, Booker T has done work as a part-time wrestler, announcer and SmackDown general manager.
