The two wrestlers criticized the country of Saudi Arabia and its athletes and then were promptly disposed of by the new prospects. Iran and Saudi Arabia have decades old diplomatic issues including the lack of any relationship since a 2016 bombing. Some fans thought the segment was in poor taste because of the geopolitical issues. On Tuesday, Ariya Daivari issued a statement about hiꦦs involvement.

Ariya Daivari followed upౠ the tweet by saying he received death threats due to his involvement with the segment.
