AEW makes a change.
During the November 27 episode of AEW Dynamite, the broadcast team announced a change to how the winner of the AEW Continental Classic would be crowned. The winner will still be determined at AEW Worlds End on December 28, as the finals will take place at the show. H🌳owever, the semi-finals wi💫ll also be held at the show.
In the semi-finals, the winner of the Gold League wil༺l face the runner-up of the Blue League, and the winner of the Blue League will face the runner-up of the Gold League. The winners will then clash in the finals, and the winner of the t🍸ournament will be the AEW Continental Champion.
The inaugural AEW Continenta꧒l Classic was held in 2023. The tournament crowned the first AEW Continental Champion, and in the semi-finals, the top𝔉 two competitors in each league faced each other. In the finals, the winners of the Blue League and the Gold League faced each other. Eddie Kingston beat Jon Moxley to win the tournament and the title at AEW Worlds End 2023.
