Vince McMah🥂on has established and is funding a personal entity away from WWE, ꦐwith reports indicating that it may have something to do with a revival of the XFL football league.
The story first broke months ago whenℱ Top Rope Travis on Twitter reported that Vince McMahon was lookin🐽g to revive the XFL, with an announcement possibly going down on January 25:
Fron🌠t Ro𒁏w Brian, who has broken news in the past, added he'd heard the same:
Fightful was given this response by WWE when reached out for comment about🅠 an XFL revival, which was first issued to Fightful's David Bixenspan for D🍌eadspin.
Vince McMahon has established and is personally funding a separate entity from WWE, Alpha Entertainment, to explor🗹e investment opportunities across the sports and entertainment landscapes, including professional football. Mr. McMahon has nothing further to announce at this time.
This doesn't confirm that a new version of XFL is on the way, or than an announcement is coming. But it is fascinating to learn of these reports an🎃d Vince McMa🌃hon's involvement with Alpha Entertainment on the same night.
The XFL ran for one season in 2001 an༒d was largely considered to be a critical and financial flop. A recent documentary about the league, This Was the XFL, premiered on ESPN back on Febuary 2 as part of the 30 for 30 documentary series.
