Kamaru Usman picked up a unanimous decision victory over the unranked Emil Meek this past Sunday Night at UFC Fight Night St. Louis.
The victorious Usman💝 gave quite the post-fight speech, saying that he won the fight while competing at just 30൩%. It was a post-fight speech that caught the eye of an angry UFC President in Dana White.
“I didn’t love that fight,” White said on the UFC Fight Night St. Louis post-fight show. “Yeah, he’s a tough guy. Yeah, he can impose his will. But you don’t jump up and start acting like you knocked somebody out and say you only went 30 percent. So what’s that mean? What if you’re on pay-per-view? Do you use 60 percent?”
Usman has since come out on Twitter to clarify what he meant on Sunday🍸 Night:
Let me clear something up since some d𓆉idn’t understand my post fight interview. What I meant was that I came into the fight at 30% health. I could’ve pulled out but I chose 2 stay the course &🌌amp; give his chance @ a top 10 guy. I fight anyone, anytime even at 30%.

Outside of the 30% comment, a ragi𒀰ng Usman also called for a fight with Colby Covington, but White doesn’t see it coming together rig🏅ht now.
“You just fought a guy who wasn’t ranked and went to a decision, and the people were booing you at the end,” he said. “I don’t think that’s the right time to call a guy out, when they’re booing you out of the stadium.”
It is unknown jܫust who will 🌸get paired with Usman next, since a bout with Covington is seemingly off the table right now.
