MMA

Former UFC Womenā€™s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey hasnā€™t been seen much since getting mź¦•auled in just 48ā™Š seconds by current champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 this past December.

However, the former champion has now surfaced in a non-MMA fashion, as she has šŸ”Æjoined the protest against the proposed drilling of the the Dakota & Keystone XL oil pipelines, a protest that hasź¦æ been going on for quite some time now.

According to activist leader Linda Black Elk, Rousey not only showed her support, she brought the protestors somšŸ’™e supplies as well.

ā€œWhen youā€™re in camp, itā€™s very difficult to access fresh food, like fresh fruits and vegetables, especially when youā€™re on the frozen prairies of the northern Great Plains,ā€ Black Elk told . ā€œItā€™s very difficult to access those things and she brought a ton of fruits and vegetables, fresh bread, fresh cheese. Just absolutely amazing. Sheā€™s an incredible person and just so humble. She wasn't asking for any publicity and when I talked to her about that, she basically said that she felt like a disappointment. She just felt that everyone was really upset with her. I couldnā€™t believe I was doing it, but it was very important for me to let her know just how important she is to the native community in particular. Thatā€™s what keeps us going, that kind of support and just the morale booster it was. Thatā€™s what keeps us going. It means everything to us.ā€

This past Tuesday (1/24), United Staź¦ŗtes President Donald Trump signed an executive order, wšŸ…ŗhich would clear the way for the drilling of the pipelines to begin.

One of the people protesting the drilling of the pipelines, knšŸŒ own as Jay R on Twitter, posted the followinš“ƒ²g picture of the former womenā€™s bantamweight champion joining the protest.

Rousey and President Trump arešŸ·nā€™t exactly on the best of terms either, as Trump posted the following on Twitter after Rousey lost her womenā€™s bantamweight title to šŸ„€Holly Holm at UFC 193 in November of 2015.
