The flyweight division debuts for Pai൩ge VanZant and Jessica Eye has been pulled from next month’s UFC 216 card.
VanZant is the culprit behind the fights potential cancelation because 𝓀she has suffered an inj🐠ury. The nature of that injury has yet to be revelaed.
The UF♊C posted an update about the situation Monday afternoon.
Due to injury, Paige 𓆉VanZant has been forced to withdraw from her UFC 216 bout against Jessica Eye on Oct. 8.
Eye has seen a string of bad luck in her recent attempts to fight again in the UFC, with𓂃 her bout against Invicta FC veteran Aspen Ladd canceled the day before UFC 213.
UFC On Fox 22 was the last time that VanZant fought and she was submitted by Michelle Waterson, while Eye hasn’t competed since a decision loss to Bethe Correia at UFC 203.
This would hav𝓡e been the second women’s flyweight bout in UFC history.
