Conor McGregor was given a hefty fine for his bottle 𝔉throwing shenanigans ahead of UFC 202.
The UFC Featherweight Champion had a $150,000 fine levied against him🏅 by the Nevada Athletic Commission Monday after a month-plus wait for disciplinary action.
The Nevada Attorney General or❀iginally recommended a $25,000 f♔ine and 25 hours of community service. McGregor's team told the NAC that they'd accept any punishment agreed upon. Said punishment was then increased to $150,000 and 50 hours of community service.
Pat Lundvall basically financed an anti-bullying campaign with the fine, which was debated on reaching as high as $300,000. In the end, they settled on 5% of McGregor's purse, with half of the fine going to the aforementioned anti-bullying campaign. McGre𒈔gor may also appear in a public service announcement for the campaign.
McGregor commented on the situation on Twitter.
Nate Diaz was granted a continuance at♎ the NAC hearing for his r﷽ole in the incident.
