A women’s flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC 233 according to as #12 Joanne Calderwood is in action against Ariane Lipski.
Calderwood (12-3-0) has won just one of her last three bouts in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Kalindra Faria at UFC Fight Night Lincoln. Calderwood competed in the first ever women’s flyweight division bout in UFC history, defeating Valerie Letourneau by third round TKO at UFC Fight Night 89. Calderℱwood has picked up twelve wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them have come by way of decision.
Lipski (11-3-0) is going to be making her UFC debut in this encounter and does so on the strength of a nine fight winning streak. Lipski is a former KSW MMA Women’s Flyweight Champion, defeating Diana Belbita at KSW 39 to claim the gold. Lipski has defeated one UFC veteran prior to signing with the promotion and that win came over Sheila Gaff at KSW 36.
