After 11 years under the UFC promotional banner, Anthony Pettis willš be taking his talents to the Professional Fighters League, in 2021, according to a report.
Pettis has agreed to terms with the PFL and will be a part of their lightweight division, as reported by ESPN's Ariel Helwani. He will take part in the promotion's 2021 season. His UFC departure comes off the heel of a unanimous decision win over Alex Morono at UFC Vegas 17.

The former UFC and WEC lightweight champion will be a part of the promotionās 2021 season and will compete in their lightweight dāivision, sources say.
Pettis began competing under the ZUFFA banner in 2009 in the WEC, where he would be their final champion.Ā His tenure with the company stretches over 26 fights, and includes wins over the lšøikes of Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone, Benson Henderson, and Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson.
The PFL will be heading into their third season in 2021 after having to delay any planned 2020 events in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Barring a format change, we can expect Pettis to be inserted into their lightweight field for the upź¦coming million-dollar tournament.
