Oscar De La Hoya Says Mayweather Let McGregor Win Some Rounds

“The Money Fight” between UFC Lightweight Champion Conಞor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather is n🐻ow a thing of the past.

One of the fight’s biggest critics was le🌳gendary boxer Oscar De La Hoya, who would go as far as to say that Mayweather let the UFC star wiꦐn some rounds during their battle.

“Because Mayweather let him (McGregor win some rounds),” De La Hoya said on . “The first four of five rounds, he let him do that. … The punches are coming from different angles. It was a bit awkward to watch, actually.”

Despite McGregor winning🅷 rounds, the UFC star was soundly finishe⛎d by Mayweather in the tenth round of their super fight.

De La Hoya even says that Canelo Alvarez would knocﷺk out McGregor if they fought in the ring.

“After seeing Saturday’s fight, Canelo probably would have knocked [McGregor] out in one round or two rounds,” De La Hoya said. “Canelo is a knockout guy, he’s a guy who’s not gonna trick people into making a fight last longer than it should last. MMA fighters are amazing fighters and I respect them dearly and boxing fighters are boxers. That’s just the bottom line.”

Even t🔯hough De La Hoya was critical of the bout, the boxing great does have something in common with McGregor,ꦓ which is that they both suffered defeats to Mayweather.
