It has been nearly a decade since fa✅ns saw the legendary Oscar De La Hoya compete and that was a loss to Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas,🎐 Nevada.
However, the boxing great recently admitted that he ha𝕴s been training in secret for a potential boxing match against UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.
“You know I’m competitive,” De La Hoya said to . “You know I still have it in me. I’ve been secretly training. Secretly training. I’m faster than ever, and stronger than ever. I know I could take out Conor McGregor in two rounds. I’ll come back for that fight. Two rounds. Just one more. I’m calling him out. Two rounds. That’s all I need. That’s all I’m going to say.”
De La Hoya was extreme critical of McGregor's professional boxing debut against Floyd Mayweath꧟e🐟r, which even drew the ire of UFC President Dana White.
While De La Hoya 💙wants to get McGregor in the boxing ring, the retired fighter admits the Iri﷽shman would destroy him in an MMA fight.
“He’s a big Irishman,” De La Hoya said. “He’s the king. He’s the king. Hey, let’s get it straight: in the cage, he would freakin’ destroy me. No, (we have to fight) in the ring.”
McGregor has yet to respond to the challenge from De La Hoya or announce an🃏y future plans as a boxer or MMA fighter.
