Nate Diaz may not have won a UFC bout in well over a year, but the Stockton native scored a victory in court as the lawsuit brought against him by the Balle🎐ngee Group has been dismiꦯssed by the state of Texas according to .
Th𒅌e judge in the case (Judge Jane J. Boyle) stated that the reason the suit was dismissed was because it shouldn’t have been contested in the state of Texas in the first place. The Ballengee Group is suing Diaz for over $1 million, claiming that fighter committed theft, breach of contract and fraud.
Jeremiah Reynolds i𝓡s the attorney representing Diaz in the matter and he says the fighter is happy with the judge’s ruling.
“We are very pleased the Court dismissed the case because Nate has not fought in Texas and the case should not have been filed in Texas,” Reynolds said in a statement.
Despite🍎 the fact that the suit was thrown out in Texas, another suit could be filed♒ in a different state if the Ballengee Group opts to move in that direction.
Diaz has recently teased a return to the Octagon, saying that🥂 he could be back in action by ℱMay or June.
Fellow UFC fighter Leslie Smith was also named in the suit, but she settled out🍬 of court with the Ballengee Group this past September.
