Khabib Nurmagomedov Says Alvarez Ducking Him

Khabib Nurmagomedov took to socia✨l media on Tueꦬsday blasting UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez.

Currently the No. 1 ranked contender in the UFC's lightweight division, Nurmagomedov about Alvarez, first by declaring the only fight he wanted next was 💝a title fight "against anybody." Nurmagomedov then mentioned Alvarez on Twitter and promised to "punish" the champion.

Nurmagomedov was only getting warmed up. After referring to Alvarez as a "fake champiꦰon", he went on to say he could finish Alvarez in the second round. Calling Alvarez "chicken" and posting tha🌺t "he doesn't believe he can beat me", Nurmagomedov went on to say that Alvarez was "100% ducking" him, saying the champion was offered matchups with Nurmagomedov both at the end of August in Canada, as well as in October.

"This is the new style in UFC," Nurmagomedov tweeted, adding "all the champion want easy fights༒.✤"

Nurmagomedov added he did not think the UFC was scared to give him a title fight, posting "they know I have an entire country of 144 m🉐illion people behind me."

Nurmagomedov also tagged the Twitter accounts of Dana White and🐻 UFC matchmaker Sean Shelby duri💛ng his rant.

Undefeated as a professional MMA fighter, Nurmagomedov (23-0) made his return to the Octagon after a hiatus of about two years d🎉ue to injury. In that bout, at UFC on Fox 19 in Tamp🅺a, the Russian defeated Darrell Horcher by TKO in the second round.

Alvarez (28-4) won the UFC title last month, at UFC Fight Night 90, besting Rafael dos Anjos by TKO in the fওirst rou🉐nd.
