UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo is in the midst of a training camp for his title unification fight against interim featherweight cha🌠mpion Ma🍰x Holloway at UFC 212.
Aldo suffered a minor inj꧒ury during the training camp, one that required stitches.
"This is a normal cut. I've fought with my eyebrow stitched up, once. This one is on the top of my head. It's a sign of victory." Aldo told . "I was sparring last week, I went for a double leg and there was a clash of heads. I'm training as usual. The placement of the cut doesn't hinder me in any way. It's cool. I got five stitches.”
The Brazilian is going to be defending the gold for the first time since it was awarded to him after then champion Conor McGregor was stripped of t🐬he gold.
MMA fan’s don’t need to worry about the effect the cut will have on🥀 the champion because the cut has changed nothing for him.
“I'm supposed to take them off tomorrow, but we'll see. It didn't change my routine. The day I got cut, I got the stitches and then went right back to train jiu-jitsu. It's right on the top of my head, where there's no contact or impact. The cut changes nothing,” says Aldo.
UFC 212🏅 takes place on Saturday, June 3 from the HSBC Arena in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil with Jose Aldo and Max Holloway headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with🍨 a post-show podcast to follow.
