A big question among MMA fans is when UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Colby Covington and UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley will finally meet🅘, a fight that could happen in the first💙 quarter of 2019 if T-Wood’s injury heals up.

“The timing on the September fight (UFC 228) didn’t work for Colby because he just had some surgery and it would’ve been a crazy quick turnaround. They’ve (the UFC) reached out and asked if Colby will be available on January for the 26th show (UFC 233), but not sure of T-Wood’s (Tyron Woodley) is going to be available in that show. He’s still getting over some surgery himself on his hand, so I’m not quite sure when that fights gonna be if I had to guess. It could be on the January or the February (UFC 234) show, it could trickle into March (UFC 235) depending on T-Wood’s hand,” Lambert said in an exclusive interview with Fight🤡ful’s James Lynch.

Covington hasn’t competed since winning the interim strap at UFC 225, while Woodley last defended his belt against Darren Till at UFC 228.

Lambert is a busy guy outside a🎀nd inside of ATT, which makes him have to pick an♛d choose what MMA events to attend.

“I typically go to fights where I’ve got guys on the team that I’m close with, we’ve got probably 40-something fighters in the UFC and a bunch of others in Bellator, PFL, Rizin, One and other fights like that. There’s fights every weekend that we have fighters competing in…pretty much on the regular, the ones that I pick to go to are the ones are big fights or fights where I’m close with somebody on the team that happens to be fighting or other instances. Last weekend, Matt Hughes called me and said ‘I’m coming out to that UFC Denver show, they’re (the UFC) bringing me out, come out and lets play cards.’ So I went and hung out with Matt, we had a couple of people on the show, but normally it wasn’t a show I would’ve gone to. But I went out there and had a great time with Matt and saw a couple of good friends of mine fight, you never know…it all depends. I’ll get to the Toronto show, we have four people on the main card. A couple of which I’m pretty close with and I’ll be out there for the December 29th show (UFC 232) to see Amanda (Nunes) fight Cyborg, other than that…sometimes its a fight a month…sometimes its two shows in a month and sometimes I’ll go a few months in between shows,” says Lambert.

The ATT manager may also be ꦦremembered best by pro wrestling fans for appearing on a series of Impact Wrestling events over the last few years.
