Conor McGregor had the biggest weekend of his life, and now he wants a piece of the UFC pie. According to reports, the WWE wants a 😼piece of Conor McGregor.
As reported last night, the WWE has a major interest in Conor McGregor. Word is the WWE wants McGregor for an appearance, but doesn't have a real plan in place. Also, while Triple H is pushing for the appearance🍬, Vince McMahon isn't as in tune.
A backstage WWE employee told Fightful, "Vince McMahon is aware of who Conor McGregor is, but definitely doesn't understand what all of the fuss is about. McGregor appeals to Vince's real instincts that he's had to kind of pull back on for years. Triple H knows all about McGregor, gets it, and wants him on the show. It's a real Tyson-Austin type of thing, but we don't have an Austin."
I asked another employee if Conor McGregor's a💯sking price wo💎uld prevent it from happening, and was told that no real discussions have even occurred.
"Hunter was at UFC 205, but didn't meet with McGregor. He may have spoken to someone from McGregor's team, but Conor probably already knows that the WWE wants him. He's had to have known all along. He was the talk of the locker room whether anyone will admit that or not."
Several WWE stars trashed McGregor earlier this year after McGregor referred to them as "messed up p-ssies." However, the consensus among who I talked to was that if McGregor were🌠 to make an appearance, the talent would understand it'd be for the best.
Fightful was also told that McGregor wouldn't be limited to a Monday Night Raw appearance, and that they'd let McGregor appear on Superstars or Main Event if he so chose, insi❀nuating he could ca♈ll his own shots. It would appear the ball is entirely in Conor McGregor's court.
