Heavyweight contender Travis Browne was submitted in the second round of his UFC 213 bout against Aleksei Oleiniဣk. It was Browne’s fifth loss in his last six fights.
Now, the UFC President in Dana White believes t🐭hat it is time for the heavyweight to call it a career.
“I think that Travis should retire,” White sa♛id at the UFC 213 post-fight news conferenc𒐪e.
Those last five defeats that Browne has suffered under the UFC bannꦫer have come to Andrei Arlovski, Cain Velasquez, Fabricio Werdum, Derrick Lewis and the aforementioned Al𓄧eksei Oleinik.
White also notes that since Browne lost to Antonio Silva at UFC On FX 5 in October of 2012, something weird has📖 hꦏappened to him.
“Travis Browne was one of those guys right before, I would say the ‘Bigfoot’ (Silva) fight, even the ‘Bigfoot’ fight, he got injured, he blew his hamstring or something weird happened to him that fight – the guy looked like he would be a world champion,” White said. “This is one of those sports, you never know. One minute you’re absolutely unbeatable, and unstoppable, then the next minute you can’t win a fight.”
Browne’s last win 🐈under the💧 UFC banner came over Matt Mitrione at UFC Fight Night 81 in January of 2016.
