Brandon Moreno earned his third victory in the UFC when he submitted Dustin Ortiz on the UFC Fight Night 108 preliminary card.
Now that he has a record of 3-0-0 under the UFC banneꦏr, the flyw꧃eight knows he will hold the UFC Flyweight Title one day.
“I am 23 years old; I have so much time to be better,” Moreno told . “But my last goal is to be a champion. Demetrious Johnson is a (expletive) monster. I need to be the champion in the future. It’s true. Maybe not today, maybe not even in the next year, but I will be champion.”
The current UFC Flyweight Champion is Demetrious Johnson, who recently defended the gold against Wilson Reis at UFC On Fox 24.
Moreno knows he has a lot to work on before winning the gold, with one of those things being the way he control🔯s the distance in the Octagon.
“I need to work more of my cage distance because other guys are really strong with more striking, more jiu-jitsu,” Moreno said. “I need to be ready for them in my next challenge.”
Prior to coming to the UFC last year, the top 10 ranked flywei𒁃ght was a cast member of the UFC Ulti🅠mate Fighter 24 and was ultimately eliminated in the first round of the show.
