One Championships Welterweight Champion Ben Askren will retire this coming November at this November’s One Championships event, the retiring fighter’s last opponent is go👍ing to be former One Championships Lightweight Champion Shinya Aoki.

Askren (17-0-0-1NC) last defended the welterweight title at One Championships: Shanghai this past September, defeating Zebaztian Kadestam by second round TKO. Askren is also a former Bellator MMA Welterweight Champion, but he gave up the belt when he opted to not re-sign with the company in 2013. Askren has only one blemish on his professional MMA record, which💧 was a no contest against Luis Santos at One Championships 26 in April 2015.
Aoki (39-7-0-1NC) is ♏competing for the first time since losing the One Championships Lightweight Title to Eduard Folayang at One Championships: Defending Honor. Aoki is coming off of the longest break of his p🤪rofessional MMA career, because he is returning to action after a year-plus layoff. Aoki has also competed once in Bellator MMA, suffering a defeat to former UFC/Bellator MMA Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez at Bellator 66.
